There is a sentence that landed on me this week that I cannot put down. Five short words that have been echoing through my spirit: He that looks within awakens.
For many of us, the last few years have felt like a constant pursuit of something "out there." We’ve been waiting for the world to stabilize, for the economy to shift, or for a specific door to open so we can finally start our lives. But the Holy Spirit is shifting the narrative. We are moving into a season where the most important work you will ever do is not found in a boardroom, a networking event, or even a church building. It is found within the secret place of your own heart.
The Trap of the Dreamer
Most of us have been living as dreamers. We dream about the next opportunity. We dream about the breakthrough that is coming. We dream about the version of ourselves we will become when the right person calls, the right season hits, or the right amount of money hits the bank account.
Dreaming is not a sin. In fact, God gives us dreams to stir our hope. But dreaming is incomplete. Dreaming keeps the reality at a distance: it keeps your destiny in the "someday." The moment you stop dreaming and start looking within, you wake up. Awakening is the realization that the thing you were dreaming about is already resident inside of you.
The Holy Spirit said something to me at the beginning of this week that rearranged how I study, how I pray, and how I live. He said, "All of your studying, all of your books, all of your notes, all of your fasting: that is good. That complements what I am doing on the inside of you. But when you look outside yourself for the answer, you are missing the point."

The Original Tool Kit Was Internal
When we look at the pattern of Scripture, we see that God rarely gives external tools before He activates internal capacity.
Consider Adam in the Garden of Eden. He was given a massive mandate: cultivate and keep the earth. Yet, if you look at the text, Adam was given no shovels, no rakes, and no blueprints. Why? Because everything he needed was already inside him. He was meant to work with his words, not just his hands.
As a man thinks, so is he. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The original tool kit for prophetic awakening was internal. Adam was designed to project the internal order of the Kingdom onto the external chaos of the world. He didn’t need to look for resources; he was the resource.
The Power of "Inside Out" Transformation
Every major breakthrough in the Bible followed this same "inside out" pattern.
- David and Goliath: David did not need Saul’s armor. Saul was trying to give him an external solution for an internal giant. David refused it because he had a "knowing" on the inside. He had a history with God in the secret place that was more powerful than any bronze helmet.
- Hannah’s Prayer: For years, Hannah begged God for a son from a place of lack. It wasn't until her vision shifted: until she stopped looking at her empty womb and started declaring her identity as a mother in the spirit: that things shifted. She had to become "pregnant" in her spirit before she could conceive in her body.
- Peter on the Water: Peter didn’t wait for the storm to stop to walk on the water. The external environment was still chaotic. He had to look within at the word "Come" that Jesus had placed in him. As long as he looked at the Word (within), he walked. When he looked at the wind (without), he sank.
How many times have you said, "God, I do not have what I need"? How many times have you been waiting for the connection, the contract, or the prophetic guidance from someone else? The whole time, the answer was inside the question. The treasure was hidden in the earthly vessel: which is you.

Why the Next Three Years are Different
We are walking into a three-year season where God is going to deal with His people personally. You may see the world doing what the world does: wars, rumors of wars, and economic shifts. Time itself is shifting from linear (chronos) into seasons (kairos).
But God is not preoccupied with the chaos "out there." He is preoccupied with the work "in here." This is a season of inside out transformation. He is purging, refining, and growing us up. He is moving us from being children who need to be fed to sons and daughters who know how to manifest the Kingdom.
In the next three years, your success in faith-based entrepreneurship will not be determined by your marketing strategy as much as it will be determined by your spiritual capacity. If you are looking for a Christian business coaching model that actually works, it starts with the kingdom within.
Practical Steps to Awaken
What does "looking within" look like practically? It isn't mystical or complicated. It is simple.
- Silence the Noise: Sit down and get quiet for at least five minutes a day. We spend so much time listening to podcasts, sermons, and news that we can’t hear our own spirit.
- Acknowledge the Indwelling: Put your hand on your belly. Remind yourself that the Kingdom of God is within you. Stop praying like God is a billion miles away in the clouds. He is in you. The anointing is not clumsy; it doesn't just "fall" on you randomly. It is resident in you through the Holy Spirit.
- Audit Your Vocabulary: Watch how you talk about yourself. Some of us aren't using "bad" words (profanity), but we are using "damaging" words. Stop calling yourself "behind," "broken," "late," or "unworthy." These words create an external reality of lack. Start using the tools God put in your mouth to bless your life.

Drop the False Humility
There is a religious spirit that tries to tell us that acknowledging the power within us is "stealing God’s glory." That is a lie. You aren't stealing God’s glory; you are wearing it.
Scripture says that when we look into the mirror, we behold the glory of the Lord and are transformed from glory to glory. Have you ever realized that the mirror is you? When you look into your own spirit, you should see the reflection of the Christ who lives there.
This is the essence of spiritual life coaching: teaching you to see what God sees when He looks at you. You are an earthly vessel holding a heavenly treasure. It’s time to stop apologizing for the treasure.
The Choice: Dreaming or Walking?
The dreamers will keep waiting for a "better season" to arrive. They will keep looking at the news and the calendars, hoping for a sign that it’s finally their turn.
The awakened will realize that they are the season. They will keep walking in the middle of the storm because they know the Prince of Peace lives inside them. They will build businesses, families, and legacies because they aren't waiting for permission from the world: they are following the blueprint from within.
Which one are you?
The next three years are an inside job. If you want to change what you see on the outside, you have to change where you are looking. Look in. The King is there. The Kingdom is there. Everything you need is already there.
